چکیده
Pyrograms of Ihree fulvic acids (FAs) or ditferenl origins and Ihe corresponding pyrosrams obtaincd by reactive pyrolysis wilh Iclramclhylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) are compared. Thi! proc.cdure inlroduces bolh slriking qualilalive and quanlilalive changes in lhe pyrolylic pallems of Ihe FAs. which are discussed in lerms of Ihe usefulness of Ihis approach lo slructural sludies. Sorne non·pyrolysis compounds (probably relained in Ihe macromolecular fulvic malrix) seem lo be released when Ihe FAs are pyrolysed in lhe presrnce of TMAH. A se{ of benzenecarboxylic acid slandards was also pyrolysed bolh in lhe abscnce and in Ihe prcscncc: oC TMAH. The resulls oblained suggcsl a lhennally assisled chemolysis ralher Ihan i" s;/u melhylalioD of lhe pyrolysis produclS.

Effects of Humic and Fulvic Acids on Some Physiological Characteristics of Two Ornamental Plants of Granium (Plargonium spp.) and Scindapsus (Scindapsus spp.)
Humic acid and fulvic acid are natural and organic materials, which are derived from various sources such as soil organic matter (humus), soil, peat, oxidized lignite and coal. In order to evaluate the effect of humic substances on physiological characteristics of two ornamental plants of granium (Plargonium spp.) and scindapsus (Scindapsus spp.), an experiment was conducted as 4×4 factorial, b...

Flash pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(Py-GC/MS) was used to study the structural transformations of humic fractions formed as a result of composting processes of diverse organic materials (solid wastes of wineries, solid olive-mill wastes, domestic wastes, ovine manures plus straw, and mixtures of animal manures). Sodium hydroxide-extracted total humic-like extracts (THE; humic p...

Francisco Martin and Francisco J. Gonzalez-Vila Instituto de Recursos Naturales y Agrobiologia (C.S.I.c.) Apartado 1052, 41 080-Sevilla, Spain It is suggested that the striking structural changes introduced in humic substances by reduction with diborane may be useful in studying the role of carboxyI groups in the behaviour of these substances in flash pyrolysis. In the preliminary results shown...
متن کاملTrihalomethane reactivity of water- and sodium hydroxide-extractable organic carbon fractions from peat soils.
Certain organic carbon moieties in drinking source waters of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta can react with chlorine during disinfection to form potentially carcinogenic and mutagenic trihalomethanes. The properties of reactive organic carbon in Delta waters, particularly those of soil origin, have been poorly understood. This study attempts to characterize trihalomethane reactivity of soil or...
متن کاملThe Effects of some Inorganic-, Synthetic- and Organic-Fertilizers on the Vegetative Growth and Iron Content in Pistachio cv. Ghazvini under Alkaline Conditions
In the current research, the effects of some organic fertilizers as fulvic and humic acids on the vegetative growth of pistachio seedlings in a semi-hydroponic culture containing Fe-EDDHA (as a synthetic fertilizer) and FeSO4 (as an inorganic fertilizer) were investigated. The alkalinity is recognized as a main problem in pistachio orchards, therefore the pH of nutrient solution was ...
